Music Detox is Calgary based website that works with bands and musicians. We promote them to help build a fan base and get them known to the listeners. In our efforts of showing music people can see what music truly means to them. Music is the universal language that everyone understands and can be taken in many ways. It can give you hope and help you push yourself to achieving your goals by changing your mind set on how you think about things in life.

Music Detox has a solid belief. This belief is that music is a therapy that you do not consciously take in but react accordingly. The people who realize the power of music have shown their passion for it and give you their music as a gift. The bands and musicians that we work with all have that passion or they would not be pushing themselves as hard as they do. When you listen to the right song or artist something happens. This can make you feel more alive and willing to do things more difficult or can be where you feel like making a difference. We do not support some music that can be negative and reverse our efforts we have worked so hard on for people to understand.

The staff members at Music Detox are all people who care passionately about the music. If no one acted on their passion for music we wouldn’t have bands for people to listen to. It goes the same for us, some of us are not the best at playing musical instruments but we do have a high passion and generally care about what music is being played and how it is being taken. We all have one common goal and that is to show all of you how music should be taken and how everyone can help.

How Music Detox Works For You
Reviews/Interviews
The reviews we do are on musicians or bands. When we look at a band or musician there are 3 things we look at the most. The first is sound, second is presentation and third is how they interact with the public. When looking the sound of the band many things will vary. It depends on the band or musician with how the sound shows their energy comes through each song. Presentation is pretty self explanitory, since stage presence is important and is a good indicator if they are a studio band or a must see live. Now how they interact with the public will need some description. When bands don't work well with a few people at times we tend to look at that as a bad thing. A band's role is to help and give people a show on and off the stage. If they can't or have issues off stage it can effect their rating. After all the music is for the fans and that is the perspective we look at.

Featured band
We have a featured band section. This works very simple, you will be featured on our main page. A banner or image will be placed and a quick description of your band. Now obviously this means we do a review and such and would do an interview with your band if it is possible so people can understand where the band comes from. The interview can be held by any of our staff members depending on location, who's doing the review and availability.

Music Player
Our music player allows people who want their music played to be heard by everyone. Music will not be able to be downloaded from them for reasons that should be understood. If people want to offer free downloads we can arrange that be made possible through our downloads page.
